Valdimar - a real professional horseman from Iceland ...

... was here once again and has educated during the last 4 days a lot of people. It was already pretty successful during the first time, when he visit Lapland. It was a very exciting and funny country life with him throughout the entire weekend.

He has worked always very close to the riders,  calm and sovereign.

... to figure out, where room for improvements can be found ...

... always acting like a gentleman ...

... and flexible like Karate Kid ...

... never a loud word, never any screaming ...

already this is "slightly different" compared with other coaches ..

The "workshop" was well organized by Sara.

 Confirmed by many participants ...

The fascination of the swedish mountains ...

... the swedish norwegian frontier is a stunning and  fantastic landscape. This mountain back is already 420 million years old, a long time compared to our short lifetime, but nothing in relation to the age of this little planet ...

It is the result of a very slow collision between the tectonic plates of North America and Scandinavia.  The tectonic plates of North America pushed over of the Scandinavian plate.

-38 C , its very tough to survive here, and hard to trigger the camera without gloves.  

Under the gigantic load the plates broke again, drifted apart and the atlantic ocean pushed in between.

Time seems to stand still, no noise is breaking the silent ...

and an old dog is looking into the infinity.

10,000 years ago the first animals and plants moved in and it begun a slow conquer of this vigin landscape ... 

In 1909 declared Sweden as the first country in Europe nine areas as national parks.

Sweden has today 29 national parks.

There are about 3200 nature reserves, covering an area of 26,000 km ².

The entire protected area, including all Swedish national parks covers 54.000km ²

 12% of the entire country - that´s a proud number. 

and an extraordinary place for extraordinary activities ...

Everything happened after the end of the 60,000 years of ice age

The ice carved with primitive and elemental violence the large valleys and canyons

unstoppable and without mercy ... a new world becomes alive

 and still attracts everyone in its spell

A worth protecting habitat with a rough appearance ...

and yet so fragile and sensitive

The most pictures are made during the last 12 month.

So the mountain are still in a fantastic shape ... 

A place where a man

can still be a man ;-)

A place for ice road truckers, gold miners, moonshiners, mountain cowboys, bush pilots

and ice hole drillers !

The american slogan "Tougher in Alaska" be be well adapted to "Tougher in Gällivare"

Children are hungry after a long day of work in the paddock.

Then it's time for food ...

If they eat grilled chicken and they can act as they want

you can become witness of an epic, creepy and terrifying event.

A nightmare ....

becomes true ...

... but finally are greasy hands and a greasy face nothing ...

... compared with this happy smile you can reap

Neighbors dogs ....

... är våra vänner och därför tillägnar vi 'grannens' hundar denna

 blogg inlägg. 

Det är Nanuk från Dokkas. Hon är den nya kompis och livs kamrat till Tundra.

Sluten av februari blev bilden tagen där hon var 12 veckor gammal och vägde ungefär 7 kg.

Sen fick vi besök av han ... Attila som har sitt hem i Gällivare, ungefär 70 kg!

Han ger sitt namn all ära och kommer från rasen varghund.

En av ca 13 hundar som har sitt hem i Purnuvaara.

Från riktig riktig liten, stilig och otrolig snäll ...

... till ganska stor och filosofiska, finns allt.

Nanuk efter en lång vinter promenad. 

Som valp är alla söt som socker bitar.

Men ålders relaterade förändringar är även hos hunden synlig. Som hos oss människor förändra sig ansiktet, kropp och beteende. Ibland blir dom rädd av någonting, eller lyssnar inte som vanligt och deras lederna börjar värka ....

Som liten har man sellan en chans mot de stora och man blir sist. 

Hundarna är alltid trogen följare.

En berömd skådespelare sade:

Man kan lever utan hund - men det är inte värd!

Lik dom sover när de är liten ...

... sover de när de är stor och äldre ...

Den minsta tester och utmanar alltid sina gränser.

Och nu vet ni varför man skaffa sig en valp ...  they are heartbreaker!

Hund träning är lik viktig som den sociala kontakt. Igen lik som för oss människor.

Attila ....hmm en arg varg ser annorlunda ut. Vilken hund, stor som en jätte men snäll som ett litet barn.

Till alla som vill känna skillnaden ...

... framme en 32 kg schäfer ... ;-)
